We arrived in Canada a few days ago, and have spent our time so far in Vancouver, home of the 2010 winter olympics. It is a beautiful city, surrounded by snow capped peaks and filled with parks.

We wandered around the city seeing the sights. A highlight being riding around Stanley Park, a huge seaside park. We looked for beavers, but whilst it was obvious that many lived there, none were out and about.
Today we headed out to sea in search of whales. We saw bald eagles, seals, porpoises and sealions, but alas no whales. It was a nice scenic cruise though.
Tomorrow we pick up our hire car and start the drive across the mountains toward Banff.
